Marta had just walked into the climbing gym, her wide eyes fixed on the towering wall stretching fifty feet into the air. 

Yet just a few minutes later, she was scrambling up that same wall like a mountain goat, confidently scaling her way to the very top. She was fearless. A natural-born climber. And until that day, nobody knew it. 

One of the greatest gifts of summer is freedom. Without the rigid structure of the school year, our Advocate Mentors can take Bridge kids on true adventures—exploring hidden trails, visiting local attractions, and diving into new experiences like rock climbing. While these outings are filled with laughter, they serve a much deeper purpose. 

Many of the children we serve haven't had the chance to discover what makes them come alive. But when they are given the space to try, you can watch their confidence grow in real-time. On that climbing wall, Marta may have discovered a lifelong passion, or perhaps she simply realized she is capable of far more than she ever imagined. 

Either way, a spark was lit. 

And a single spark of confidence can reshape a child's entire future.
