"Every kid needs five adult fans."
"Every kid needs five adult fans,” writes Dr. Chap Clark, a professor at Fuller Theological Seminary. But many adults view adolescents as a problem, not as full of potential. So, young people feel abandoned. They are "desperate for an adult who cares.”
Lunch Buddies is a simple way for a busy adult to become a fan of one child. |

About Us
What We DoThe Bridge is a Christian mentoring program. Our mission is to empower Topeka children and youth to become servant leaders through mutually transforming relationships. Our vision is to connect kids with mentors during elementary school and to follow them through high school graduation. We dream of partnering with churches across the city, sending God's people into every elementary school in Topeka. |
Our HistoryThe Bridge began in 2008 as an after school program, serving students from Meadows Elementary. In 2012 we began to collaborate with Topeka Young Life to mentor those students as they moved on to Robinson Middle School and Topeka High School. In 2015 we inhertited the Lunch Buddies program, partnering with local churches to send mentors into every elementary school in Topeka. |
